Dinner at Ming Court 明閣 米芝蓮星級食府 Langham Place Hotel.



 

松花皮蛋酸子姜。Millenium Duck Egg Preserved with Young Sour Ginger Chilled. A no miss whenever we dine here. Ever since we had a first time trying this dish here, we bid yung kee a bye forever. Not a lover for ginger, but this ginger is really crisp and not too sour. Hard to resist at Ming Court 明閣 (米芝蓮星級食府) Langham Place Hotel.


 

Introducing the legendary roast goose in HK at Ming Court 明閣 (米芝蓮星級食府) Langham Place Hotel!!  潮蓮烧鹅。Got a regular for 2 of us and we're given a goose leg. Yummy!! No need to remind us how sinful this is. It's a no miss whenever we are here. No need for Yung Kee anymore which is now overrated, overcharged at touristy prices and it's not able to attract even the locals anymore. .


 

One of Ming Court Award Winners - Eight Treasures Consomme consisting of fish maw, abalone, shitake, bamboo pith, ginger, dried tangerine peel, chicken and black fungus. 其中一项明阁的得奖菜式 - 浓汤花胶鸡丝羹。The award speaks everything. It's soooo good!! Rich in ingredients. 全部精华都在里头了 


 生拆蟹肉栗米羹。Sweet Corn Crabmeat Soup. Has always been my favourite in SG. Something so simple but yet nicely done here with loads of sweetcorn n generous servings of crabmeat making this soup especially sweet! 
脆皮乳猪炒饭。Suckling pig fried rice. Crispy slices on top of nicely done fried rice  A bit too much for 2 to finish haha..so grateful that they were able to packet the rest for our friends to bring home and even help us to bring it up to our room while we went out looking for our desserts on our first night here  

Complimentary dessert from the restaurant manager Teresa! Thanks lots!!  Have tried the full version of this few times before and it is a no miss whenever we dine here as a family. Complimentary set comprises of 2 flavours - mango pudding and osmanthus jelly. Simple and fresh and most importantly not too sweet  Loves the presentation always  


Awwww still the best ever!! A must eat for every trip here! Dessert at 甜品天王许留山尖沙咀.

Traditional eatery at 旺角街市人和荳品廠.which sells 豆腐花 with different toppings. We also realise it sells traditional food like 猪血 and 肠。Should try next time  The 豆腐花 is silky and smooth. This one with Nata De Coco in it. Nice! We always love to put loads of sugar in it and eat it in the HK way.

 
 
Very unique n creative dessert shop at Next Station Dessert.  Guess it's targeting at the youngsters market here. Lime flavoured, mocha flavoured and wasabe flavoured. !!  Lots more in the menu but no tummy space to hold them as this was the 3rd dessert we had on our 1st night here. Highly recommended!! 

 
 
The legendary 肠粉 @合益泰小食, 深水埗   Definitely different from what we have in SG. Very QQ, with sesame sauce and sweet sauce. Have to try it to know how good it is!    

 
 
A side order that goes well with the rice flour rolls earlier on the siew mai taste good!! Eat them while hot. To sum it all, breakfast here is cheap and good Highly recommended!! Very very close to Sham Shui Po MTR Exit at 合益泰小食.

 
 Whenever we are in HK, we will always have 1 breakfast here at 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company. If not it's like 对不起自己。So managed to squeeze this in as our 2nd breakfast on our 2nd day here. Who dares to tell me mac scrambled eggs are nice?  You've got to try this! Smooth silky and melt in the mouth. Woosh!  
 
This 双皮奶 and 炖蛋 are equally nice! We always have it cold together with our breakfast at Australian Dairy Co. Highly recommended outlet for cheap and good meal thru out the day! A must go! Queue always but fast moving. Sit down, order fast n eat fast! They need to clear the tables fast. It's HK fast pace culture   

 
 
Overrated 茶餐at 金華冰廳 Kam Wah Cafe. Our first visit here after so many good reviews in openrice and food blogs. The milk tea was great, nothing to pick on. Egg tarts are good but not as legendary as they are claimed to be. We have eaten nicer n silkier ones at a small bakery in the Mongkok region during our March trip. Lastly, 萝油 is the cafe's signature. Ya, eat it while it's piping hot. The upper crust is very crispy and lower portion is soft. But as it cools down, the whole thing softens which is pretty much a letdown. Butter is not as good as expected.  

 It's worth every dollar for the quality of dimsum at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen. You'll get and of course, the million dollar views from level 102. Just a reminder: make online reservation as EARLY as u can and MUST remember to request for window table as these tables are HOT!! I am happy to secure window table for 2 afternoons this time  The service staff were really great  We were early and asked to wait at the lobby level 103. Didn't expect the same lady staff to specially come up and invite us back to the restaurant. I mean, we could by all means go down to the restaurant by ourselves when it's time which is the common thing to do in SG. Great food, great views, what else can we ask for? Make this part of your itinerary especially when u are travelling as a couple  It gonna be a memorable lunch. Ohh.. let's start first with this candied walnuts 核桃 they serve on every table. Nice but still find the ones at Spring Moon @ The Peninsula crunchier  than the one at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen.
 
The signature XO chilli sauce that is commonly served upon request (gotta pay of course  ~ HKD30) in hotel chinese restaurants here. Every mouthful is full of scallop shreds!  Just eat it like that without having to use it as a dip. Worth every cent! A must try at every restaurant to find out which is the best. Bought a bottle home but didn't get from here at香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen.

 
Chilled shredded abalone with jellyfish in sesame oil  Crunchy jellyfish on every bite. Abalone shreds on the top. Super !! Refreshing appetiser to start with before dimsum is served at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen.

 
The combination we had before other dimsum arrived - consists of crispy roasted pork belly, roasted goose with plum sauce and marinated chicken in soy sauce. Yummy!! But could be better if the pork belly is softer  and roast goose smoother . Chicken is just nice 🐤 One serving is good enough for a couple  at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung 

 
 Baked abalone puffs with roasted goose. Great  but found one after this which is better. The puff is a bit too hard n dry. Could be better if softer  at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen.
 
 Soup dumpling with fish maw in supreme stock. Honestly, this is the first time we have 汤饺。So can't make comparison  but this tasted good n rich We were almost full after this  But was thinking if the skin is thinner it should be even better at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen.
 
Steamed glutinous rice with abalone, superior sea cucumber and preserved meat. Great glutinous rice even when eat it alone with the sauce.  Of course the abalone and sea cucumber adds on to the enjoyment of this dish.  One serving shared by 2 pax   at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen.
 
 
 Braised pork belly with supreme black vinegar. 真的是吮手指! 好到没话说.  The 2 leaf-shaped green thingy is winter melon.  I took the sauce to go with my glutinous rice at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen.
 

Deep-fried spring rolls with crab meat and salted egg yolk. Errr, seemed a bit tasteless to me. Presentation of dish is pretty nice though  Thought it would appear as big rolls being cut into pieces  Serving's pretty generous too.

Amazing deep-fried shrimp toast . So much better than the ones at Langkawi's Pahn Thai which seemed to be over-fried.  Fresh prawn on top of layer of bread. at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen.


Wow! This is HEAVENLY GOOD!!! Double boiled milk custard with brown sugar and bird's nest. It's not the normal 炖奶 that we get from local dessert shops. It just tastes soooooooo great! Silky and melt in the mouth kind of feeling at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen.


HEAVENLY Deep Fried Dumplings filled with Egg Custard at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen.  We don’t take 煎堆 in SG. In fact find those fried foods smelly and always run away from those stalls in food courts  But this is really good, non-oily and does not give any sinful feeling  Inside is similar to 流沙包 with egg custard oozing out from it,

 
Pan-Fried Rice Rolls with Dried Shrimps and Conpoy  First time we tried rice rolls being pan fried 🐢🐢 Simple dish. Nothing in the rice rolls. Good!! Serving is sooo generous with 5 rolls in it. Luckily didn't over-order for this lunch.  at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen.
 
Complimentary desserts for dimsum lunch again . Nomnomnom! Still as good as the first  at 香港麗思卡爾頓酒店-天龍軒 Tin Lung Heen.

Buffet dinner in hotel instead. Just nice to use dining credits on our last night here at The Place @ Langham Place Hotel.











 
 lovely full-day breakfast menus! No wonder very high rating in openrice 😅 The egg benedict oozes out....ooooozzzeeee at Agnes B Le Pain Grille.
 Various HK street foods. Saw a mini food fair at Central star ferry pier so bought 老婆饼 and few kueys. Overall disappointing although ready packed 香蕉糕 was acceptable. The best so far is still those bought this morning from a streetside bakery at Mongkok. Great piping hot 香蕉糕, egg tarts and cakes!!  All only at SGD5!
 
Great local desserts from a very small traditional 糖水店。毫不起眼的一间小店, 却有诱人的甜品。Thanks frens for bringing us there! Will be back again 浩记甜品馆
 
The 冻奶茶 here 还真是不赖 at 勝香園 Sing Heung Yuen.

 I wonder whether I will try this legendary tomato noodles/macaroni again Not that it's not nice, but all I could remember now is how SOUR it is! Definitely not for the tomato faint-hearted lol!!  But really 酸到过瘾.

今晚食物大派送的最后一道。餐单上写着 "鲜虾小笼包"。还说是限量版。So my thoughts is that it's normal 小笼包 with simple fresh prawns in it. The great thing about dimsum-ing in this city is that the prawns used are always big n fresh. But after we gave it a bite, what oozes out is the sweetest we have ever tasted all these years!  It's only then we realised they have used lobster instead of normal prawns. Somehow tasted a bit like lobster bisque too  GREAT GREAT GREAT! Since its "limited edition", wondering whether we have the chance to have it again on our next trip

 Newly opened shop that sells street foods of HK. Not worth going. Overly-publicised as it's the business of a Miss HK 谭小环。Wouldn't try it again. So-so 猪肠粉, curry fishballs and 烧卖。碗仔翅 ok only 



 
 
 Similar to 盐鸡。Nice!!  齿夹留香  at Chuen Cheung Kui Restaurant.
 First time we tried 冬瓜盅。Nice!! With lots of ingredients in it

Amazing dinner even though 打包 from outside back to hotel.  That is another reason why we love to stay in the Mongkok area with lots of nonsense food to grab n eat , First try at fried cuttlefish. Though on salty side, it tastes good!!  Found another fantastic 河粉 shop which also has this awesome 云吞,  We'll miss this dearly!!
